We are currently looking for a Payroll and Benefits Technician to join our team in Montreal, Québec.


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Under the responsibility of the Payroll and Group Benefits Manager and in collaboration with the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the payroll of a dedicated group as well as the processing and follow-up of benefits and programs used for all employees, in accordance with the laws and regulations at both the Federal and Provincial level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing of time sheets in the system for a bi-monthly payroll;
  • Follow-up of hiring documents required by employees;
  • Update and maintain data on group insurance benefits, including short-term and long-term disability claims;
  • Promote and follow up on employee programs (RRSP, Group Insurance, EAP, etc.);
  • Answer questions from employees, managers and vice-presidents;
  • Follow up on work accident files;
  • Participate in special HR and payroll related projects;
  • All other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in accounting, administration or human resources;
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in payroll and group benefits;
  • Bilingual required; excellent oral and written knowledge of French and English;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision;
  • Able to take initiative;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of human capital management platforms (HCM) an asset;
  • PCP Certification an asset.
