We are currently looking for a Credit Analyst to join the team in our Vaughan Business Centre.

SCOPE OF THE JOB

Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Credit Analyst is responsible for a portfolio of clients. The analyst evaluates credit requests of new and existing clients through research and analysis of financial documents, and shares its recommendaitons in a timely fashion.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform credit file reviews according to schedule and needs
  • Make collection calls and follow up regularly with customers
  • Check and/or approve orders that request authorization
  • Temporarily suspend credit privileges as necessary
  • Analyse credit records of existing customers and assess potential risk
  • Complete comprehensive credit inquiries
  • Develop and maintain teamwork both internally and externally
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner (invoice copies, statement balances, etc.)
  • Process credit card payments


REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in administration, accounting or other relevant discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Highly flexible and adaptable in a multi-functional role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer service oriented, motivated, results-oriented and diplomatic
  • Ability to resolve conflicts
  • Credit experience in the construction industry is an asset
