We are currently searching for a Counter/Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Belleville, Ontario.


SCOPE OF THE JOB AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Counter Sales Representative greets Customers entering the Business Centre, serves them promptly and politely, and ensures that the merchandise displayed at the counter is presented in an attractive manner.  

  • Promotes sales of complimentary and focus products.
  • Must be highly adaptable to serve Customers at the counter and assist in filling orders and other warehouse duties.
  • Has the ability to influence customers to buy more through cross selling; up selling and substitution skills and can positively improve GM%.

The Inside Sales Representative sells products, processes customer orders, provides pricing and/or technical information and finds solutions to problems in a timely manner.

  • Proactive and strong on-going quest of latest developments in products and their features and benefits are critical skills.
  • Individuals that are motivated and comfortable using the various web sites and on-line tools provided by our key Suppliers is key.  
  • Knowledge and demonstrated ability to improve and command higher Gross Margin % is also key.
  • Ability to influence, cultivate and grow GM$ with own select group of assigned House Accounts.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and negotiate with key Suppliers.  
  • Consistently follows up on all quotes to achieve high close ratio.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ideally 5 years’ experience in similar position
  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and meet key deadlines
  • Team player, adaptable, energetic with a positive professional attitude
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative to self-improvement of business and product skills
  • Good Merchandising skills and Product Application Knowledge
  • Highly organized
  • Analytical Skills to probe, identify and qualify opportunities for growth.
