Before applying to the program

Review Eligibility Criteria

  • Parent must:

    1. Have been a permanent employee of a Guillevin division for at least one year as of August 1st of the current year.
    2. Still be employed when the scholarship is paid.
  • Students in university or college must:

    1. Be under age 26 and be a dependent child (including common-law, stepchild or adopted child).
    2. Be a full-time student at a provincially recognized post-secondary educational institution.
    3. Have successfully completed the first year of a post-secondary program of at least two years’ duration.
    4. Be a full-time student when the scholarship is paid.

     

  • Students in a skilled trade must:

    1. Be under the age of 26 and be a dependent child (including common-law, stepchild or adopted child).
    2. Have completed a vocational or technical program in a recognized establishment in the electrical, fabrication, or safety fields, during 2024.
  • Educational institutions must:

    1. Be provincially recognized as post-secondary educational institutions, which include: Canadian universities and colleges that belong to Universities Canada (UC) or are affiliated with a UC member, including institutes of technology.
    2. Be a Canadian private institutions offering post-secondary courses with credits that can be transferred to other qualifying institutions.

Eligible students must complete the application form and provide the necessary documents before the end of the application period.

Results
October 31

When reviewing the applications, special attention will be paid to each student’s academic results and cover letter.

Payment
November 30

Successful applicants will receive the scholarship for their level of education. Certain information will be required before payment can be issued.

For the application to be considered, the student must also submit the following documents no later than September 30. *Formats permitted: jpg, jpeg, doc, docx, pdf, txt.

Students must be prepared

Have the following documents on hand when ready to "Register".

  • Transcript of grades from the last school year for University and College students.

  • Proof of full-time enrollment for the coming term, starting this fall, or proof of enrollment in a vocational or technical program ending in 2024.

  • A description of the program of study.

  • Brief cover letter describing the choice of program and career aspirations.
